Steven Therrien

Steven is Director, Equity Research at SCP Resource Finance and a professional geologist with more than 15 years of experience in the mining industry. He joined SCP in 2026 from 3L Capital, where he was Senior Mining Analyst, focused on junior mining equity research and merchant banking idea generation.
Prior to 3L Capital, Steven spent 10 years with Goldcorp and Newmont in the Red Lake and Timmins gold camps, where he held progressively senior technical and leadership roles. His experience includes underground production geology, bulk sampling and sample tower programs, near-mine and generative exploration, 3D geological modelling and technical leadership.
Steven holds a BSc (Honours) in Geology from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay and is a registered Professional Geologist in Ontario.
