Chris Tonkin is Vice President, Investment Banking for SCP Resource Finance in the London office. In 2021, he moved from a Research Associate role into investment banking. Chris previously worked as a deal originator for an African debt fund and successfully deployed capital into gold, tin, bauxite, iron ore and zinc mining projects across the continent. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Corporate Development & Investor Relations at Calibre Mining and spent time at Gold Fields’ South Deep mine and Glencore’s Katanga operations. Chris is a qualified mining engineer and has completed his CFA® examinations.
